Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on the 18th of November 1985. Her birthplace was Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix displayed a knack for athletics from the beginning, as she discovered her talent for sprinting when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her initial attempt, she finished second in the 200-meter race on the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix had graduated high school in 2003 signed an athletic contract with Adidas. Then she attended the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. One year later Felix earned her very first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece and set an unofficial junior world record taking 200 metres within 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world champion of 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007, over her former Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She was consistently among the top three in the events.
