Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18, 1985, at Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix realized early on that she had a talent to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial attempt she made her skills, she placed second for 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation and signed a professional deal with the sports company Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Her first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics held which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record running 200m in 22.18 seconds. The year 2005 was the time she became the youngest world champion of 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007 beating her longtime Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed within the top three athletes in each of her events.
